Recovery that starts with one honest call.
Ventcare places clients into vetted Kenyan rehabilitation centres for addiction, substance use and severe mental health conditions — from screening and detox to residential care and a full year of aftercare. Fees are paid on the platform via M-Pesa, with instalments and family sponsorship built in.

Admissions process
Five steps from crisis to aftercare
- Same day · Free
Step 01
Confidential screening
A 20-minute call with our admissions team — substance history, mental health, safety risks and what the family can support. No judgment, no records shared.
- Within 48 hours
Step 02
Clinical assessment
A licensed psychologist and a clinician assess severity, co-occurring conditions and medical fitness, then recommend inpatient or outpatient care.
- 5–10 days
Step 03
Medically supervised detox
Where withdrawal is expected, detox runs under 24-hour nursing observation with medication support before therapy begins.
- 4–12 weeks
Step 04
Inpatient or outpatient programme
Individual therapy, group work, family sessions, relapse-prevention skills and structured routine — residential or attending from home.
- 12 months
Step 05
Aftercare & reintegration
Weekly therapy, sober support groups, employer or school reintegration planning and check-ins for 12 months after discharge.

Paying for treatment
Deposit, then instalments — nobody pays it all at once
Admission deposit
30% of the programme fee secures the bed or outpatient slot, paid on M-Pesa from the enquiry confirmation.
M-Pesa instalments
The balance is split into weekly or monthly instalments with automatic reminders — every payment is receipted in your Ventcare account.
Family sponsorship
Up to five family members or an employer can contribute to one reference number, each seeing only their own contributions.
Care Fund support
Where a family genuinely cannot meet the fee, the Ventcare Care Fund can subsidise part of the programme after a means review.
Every shilling is receipted in your Ventcare account and reconciled against the centre's payout — you always see what has been paid and what remains.
Questions families ask
Rehabilitation FAQs
- Is admission confidential?
- Yes. Clinical notes stay with the treating team, nothing is shared with employers, schools or family without written consent, and admissions calls are not recorded.
- Can someone be admitted the same day?
- In a crisis, yes — screening and assessment can be compressed into one day if a bed is available and the client is medically stable enough for transfer.
- What if the person refuses treatment?
- We never facilitate forced admission. Our team can run a family intervention session to build willingness, and outpatient care is often the first step someone accepts.
- Is the fee refundable if we stop early?
- Unused residential weeks are credited back or moved to outpatient and aftercare. The deposit and completed weeks are non-refundable.
- Do you treat mental health without addiction?
- Yes. The same programmes run for severe depression, bipolar stabilisation, anxiety and trauma where a structured environment is clinically indicated.
